Most of us suffer wrong cultural assumptions that take us down destructive paths. “Scarcity” is a good example of this. Exploring the limits of “scarcity” in economics will be very enlightening, in terms of a contrast to several alternative approaches stressing “abundance.”

This is just one of the challenging issues that we will examine in this online course on “An Introduction to Ecological Economics.”

We will be holding this free introductory discussion covering some of these interesting questions on Thursday, October 7th , at 12 noon and again at 7:00PM Eastern Daylight Time, in order to review some of the many concerns to be addressed in this course, which will officially start on Thursday, October 14th and run for 8 weeks, with our final class to be held on December 9th . All classes will be on Thursdays, either from 12 noon until 2:00PM or from 7:00 to 9:00PM EDT.
