Join Biodiversity for a Livable Climate at Cambridge's Danehy Park for bird-watching tours, a guided Miyawaki forest tour, native plant walks, and community games celebrating local biodiversity — all at the site of the Northeast's first Miyawaki miniforest.
This year's Summit brings together practitioners and researchers from across the growing miniforest movement, including keynote speakers Ethan Tapper, bestselling author of How to Love a Forest, and Mio Urata, a Japanese Miyawaki forester with over 20 years of experience restoring forests worldwide. Alongside 20+ speakers and panelists, they'll share what's being learned on the ground — from soil science and stewardship to community organizing and policy — as the Miyawaki Method takes root across the Northeast.
