Redesigning Our Communities for Life After Fossil Fuels: Cleveland

Redesigning Our Communities for Life After Fossil Fuels: Cleveland

National and local thought leaders from Cleveland are blazing trails in making Cleveland’s communities resilient and equitable. The combination of inspiration and practical skills will give you hope and direction, no matter where you live.

Our way of life is not resilient. Every day climate disasters, infrastructure breakdown, and random events have caused suffering. Our food supply is also being impacted and it’s time to make this a top priority. We don’t need to wait until we are forced to live without fossil fuels to make changes in our lifestyles. Now is the time to harness the power of nature and community to invent a new path forward.

Richard Heinberg of the Post Carbon Institute is the Keynote speaker, moderated by Jess Alvarez-Parfrey from Transition US.
Other national speakers:
The Power of Ecosystem Restoration: Maya Dutta
Why Growing Food Must Be Our Top Priority: Philip Bogdonoff

Panel Discussion:
Transforming Cleveland’s Food Infrastructure to Rapidly & Equitably Increase Local Food Production Speakers: Ismail Samad, Mikki Smith, Sara Continenza, and Marc White

National speakers and the Local Panel presented on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
