International Forest Day, International Water Day, International Rewilding Day. It’s been a week of days. A little overlooked perhaps in the shadow of these larger, more thematic days? World Frog Day, celebrating “natures tiny guardians.” “They outlived dinosaurs, weathered ice ages, and adapted to shifting climates. Yet today, despite their incredible resilience, frogs stand on the brink of disaster. These small, unassuming creatures do far more than fill the air with their evening croaks. They control insect populations, provide food for countless predators, and serve as nature’s bioindicators because they are sensitive to environmental changes long before these become crises.
