It teems with microscopic communities of life forms—microbes including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa—that are rich in purpose we are only beginning to understand. This garden also envelopes you, growing on all your surfaces to form an invisible barrier. It is the threshold where you interface with the world, a world rich with its own unseen gardens.
