Bio4Climate’s Flagship Biodiversity-Centered Climate Curriculum

Soil to Sky is Bio4Climate’s educational curriculum for helping young people understand climate through the lens of living systems.

Built around the idea that climate and biodiversity are deeply interconnected, the curriculum combines ecological observation, scientific inquiry, games, creativity, and hands-on activities to help students move from:

Learners discover how healthy soil supports life, how biodiversity strengthens ecosystems, how nature cools communities, and how local action can contribute to climate resilience.

The curriculum is flexible, place-based, and designed for educators without specialized science training.

Examples from the Field

Hyderabad, India

In April 2026, Bio4Climate launched the first international implementation of Soil to Sky through the Earth Month “Cool Your City Challenge” in Hyderabad, India. The three-day program engaged more than 35 students in soil exploration, pollinator games, biodiversity learning, and climate design activities across English, Telugu, Hindi, and Bangla.
