Executive Director Beck Mordini issued a statement responding to the White House decision to rescind protections for 58 million acres of native forests: "Just as tens of millions of Americans are experiencing a lethal, record-breaking heat wave, the federal government has launched a reckless attack on one of our most vital natural climate regulators."
This year's Summit brings together practitioners and researchers from across the growing miniforest movement, including keynote speakers Ethan Tapper, bestselling author of How to Love a Forest, and Mio Urata, a Japanese Miyawaki forester with over 20 years of experience restoring forests worldwide. Alongside 20+ speakers and panelists, they'll share what's being learned on the ground — from soil science and stewardship to community organizing and policy — as the Miyawaki Method takes root across the Northeast.
